First yerba mate dried in the new Meta Mate Gehm Barbacua with a strong smoky flavor.
The family Gehm does not use pesticides and harvested this yerba mate from the best part of their forest in Brazil.
After processing longer than usal (5 instead of 3 days) by lower temperatures it was filled into a vacuum pack to preserve its full flavor.
Dried with aromatic woods such as cabriuva and guabiroba, this mate has a special smokey note as it was the first trial in the new drying house and Mr. Vilson Gehm wanted to ensure that the mate was dried properly.
The name Viola is an homenage to a consumer and singer that came to learn, drink, make and sing for the test of new Barbacua from the family Gehm.
If you are a South American Gaucho please enjoy this mate like your grandparents would do back at home. If you are but a new European costumer, the best we advise is to buy it together with Meta Mate Raw and make a half/half mixture to balance it´s strong flavour with the more neutral and green tea like flavours of Meta Mate Raw.
Store in a cool and dry place.
Instructions for use:
Preparation in the French Press / Teapot: for 1 litre you take approx. 12g yerba mate and let it brew at 80 degrees for approx. 5 minutes.
